Censure and Impeach
Mood:  energetic
Topic: The Time Is Now!

I support House Resolution 635 introduced by Representative John Conyers, which calls for special committee to investigate impeachable offenses of members of the Bush Administration, including the President, the Vice President, the current Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, the current Attorney General and Karl Rove. I also support Senator Finegold’s resolution to censure President Bush

I realize you may think this is extreme, but this Administration has gone to far in too many negative directions, the result being that of a Manchurian Candidate scenario. It is apparent that this puppet Administration was put in place to give more power and wealth to a chosen few. This resulted in record trade and budget deficits, a deceitful rush to an unnecessary war that was poorly executed, an erosion of civil liberties, the outing of a CIA officer, human rights violations, a severely tarnished image and loss of credibility of our nation abroad, possible illegal wire tapping of American citizens, appointing cronies who failed to manage a major disaster, the erosion of environmental safety standards, the reversal of worker safety and rights, and the latest was a private port management deal that could have put a nation with ties to terrorism in charge of American ports whose security has been consistently underfunded by this Administration and the Republican Congressional leadership.

I would endorse a “Nixon exit scenario”, in which the Vice President resigns, a moderate Vice President is appointed and the President resigns. George W Bush was never qualified to be President, and you know it, even if you can’t publicly admit it. We have to take our country back, before it is too late. This goes beyond party loyalty and is a matter of national security and integrity. This Administration should be brought to justice, and no one should be pardoned. The time to act is now.
