Now Playing: "Confusion will be my epithaph" King Crimson 1968
Topic: Don't rob our future!
Lyrics from "Confusion will be my epithaph"

". . . the fate of all mankind, I fear, is in the hands of fools. . . if we make, we can all sit back and laugh, but I fear tomorrow I'll be crying . . ."

Not a very cheerful note for the new year, but if you look at how the present Administration & Congress has turned its back on the future, with insurmountable debts and disregard for the environment, you will understand why.

Read Bill Moyers comments following his receiving the 4th Annual Global Environment Citizen Award from the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School.

He attributes the fundamentalist mentality that sees the rapture is imminent for the "faithful", so there is no need to care about the future. In fact, maybe it is best to hasten the end.

Also included is a recent NY Times article about the Defense Department asking for a waiver of environmental protection rules where they are carrying out exercises.

Meanwhile, here is something you can do.
